DG1 - Emergency mode

Emergency mode can be activated if it is not possible to generate keys using the software.

To do this, you will need:

  • the MDU
  • the Beam 05 configuration transponder
  • an MDU-authorized staff transponder (privileged) (usually a Häfele technician, building technician, or manager)
  • guest transponders (to be handed out to guests later)

Enabling emergency mode

  1. Hold the configuration transponder (Beam05) briefly against the terminal. (LEDs flash: wait; also follow the dual-control principle)
  2. Hold the privileged transponder against the terminal while the LEDs are flashing. (LEDs remain lit: communication mode)
  3. On the MDU, select “Terminal Function” -> “Terminal Mode” -> “Emergency Mode” -> “On”
  4. Now hold the MDU up to the door's reader
  5. The terminal will now flash white for a short time; you can now program as many transponders as you like to the door.

These pre-programmed transponders can now be used in addition to the transponders already in use at the door and will remain valid until emergency mode is deactivated at the terminals.
